WHO WE ARE.

Prospero Property was founded in March 2012 with the goal of providing a more personal service to the lettings market. Following many spells at different rental properties, both student and professional, we were disappointed at the level of personal service provided by landlords and managing agents - often the only times we would hear from them was when there was money involved! We were also dismayed at how many agents would create charges with the goal of retaining deposits. We decided that this level of service was below par and set up Prospero to try and improve this.

Services we offer that most other agents won't:

  • No extortionate signing fees (in fact no fees at all!)
  • Most property visits carried out by Managing Director.
  • All tenants given Managing Director's personal mobile number.
  • Christmas presents for all student tenants!
  • Improvement Meetings - we meet with our tenants to discuss ways in which they think their property could be improved - this year alone we have bought bean bag sofas, high gloss shelves and most interestingly new, strengthened bed slats based on our tenants feedback.
  • End of tenancy advice - before the end of every tenancy we will visit your property and advise you on any issue that could affect the return the of your deposit. This gives tenants time to put any niggles right, and means that to date we have returned 98% OF EVERY DEPOSIT RECEIVED.

 

Our Team

Jon Wells - Managing Director

Following Jon's graduation from the University of Leeds, he went on to work in Marketing for several major leisure and events companies. This included a spell in London managing a multi-million pound turnover contract for a large public company. During his time in the leisure industry, he grew a wide range of knowledge on marketing to students and young professionals and when the opportunity to form Prospero came about, it was an obvious choice that this was the area of the market to pursue. Jon has been in charge of Prospero since its formation in 2012.

Ben Wells - Development Director

Ben has an eye for anything hands-on. Before joining Prospero he worked as General Manager of a large factory in South Wales. He is responsible for the larger maintenance jobs within our rental portfolio and also heads up the development side of the business.

Abbie Wells - Finance Director

Abbie is a graduate of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. She has over 10 years experience within national sales and business development both in the UK and the USA. Whilst working in the USA, Abbie also earnt her MBA from Miami University. She has a strong head for numbers and looks after the finance side of the business.
